Occupational health and safety
In order to meet the most diverse requirements in the field of occupational safety, our catalog brings together a comprehensive range of products. Of course, in selected quality at fair prices.
In Germany, companies must comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. They are obliged to prevent or eliminate the risk of accidents in the workplace, to take protective measures, to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) for employees, and so on.
Personal protective equipment is divided into three categories.
Category 1
is classified PPE that protects against simple personal risks, such as protective rainwear. This category is not subject to any EC quality assurance system.
In category 2
PPE is classified for which neither category 1 nor category 3 applies. This PPE protects persons in hazardous areas classified as medium risk. Examples of such clothing are high-visibility clothing or clothing for light heat protection. Category 2 PPE must be certified by an external body. A type examination certificate is issued. However, it is not subject to any EC quality assurance system.
Category 3
complex PPE is classified that protects against high or even lethal risk, such as clothing for heat protection or protection against thermal hazards of an arc fault. Category 3 PPE must be certified by an external body. A type examination certificate is issued. It is subject to an EC quality assurance system, in which the test is repeated by the external body at regular intervals.
In our store you will find an extensive range of PPE from head to toe:

Our store also offers a wide range of products in the field of occupational health and safety, including first aid kits, first aid stations, skin protection, soap dispensers, warning and information signs, etc.
What is a type examination certificate?
A type examination certificate is a document with detailed test reports for a certified product. The article designation, the material used and the protection standards are noted here. The validity of this certificate has been limited to 5 years since 2010.
Does the employer have to provide PPE?
When working with or near substances that can cause skin injuries or penetrate the human body through the skin, as well as when there is a risk of burns, chemical burns, punctures, and cuts, the company must provide body protection (protective clothing).
What is included in occupational safety?
The most important principles of occupational health and safety are laid down in the Occupational Health and Safety Act (ArbSchG). This obliges the employer to recognize and assess health hazards in the workplace and to prevent them by taking protective measures. Furthermore, employees must be informed about safety and health protection.
